Brownwood News – October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month and Brownwood Independent School District (BISD) is supporting this cause once again this year by designating Friday, October 26, as “Pink-Out” day.  Faculty, staff, and students within the district will be seen wearing their pink-out shirts throughout the day to increase awareness and raise money for local families currently fighting cancer.

BISD is encouraging employees, students, parents, and community members to consider purchasing this year’s vintage heather maroon “We Are One” pink-out t-shirt designed specifically for the event and wear it to school or work and to the Brownwood vs. Stephenville football game beginning at 7:00 p.m. that evening.

This year’s t-shirt is available by pre-order only.  Order forms can printed online at www.brownwoodisd.org/pinkout and can also be filled at the BISD Central Office at 2707 Southside Drive, or at any BISD campus.

The cost per t-shirt is $10 for all sizes youth through adult 5 XL. Orders and payments must be turned in by Fri., Oct. 5th at 4:00 p.m. Each $10 donation gets you the latest Pink-Out shirt, but more importantly, it adds to a cancer fund to help local families battling cancer.

This is the 7th year for the “Pink-Out” the fundraiser, which has raised thousands of dollars over the years due to the incredible support by students, staff, teachers, and the community. BISD hopes to continue the success of the fundraising effort which has helped several individuals within the district battling cancer.
