Brownwood High School hosted their annual Brownwood Invitational cross country meet on Saturday with 520 runners from 16 school participating and Brownwood teams were in the top ranks.
High School varsity and junior varsity, junior high and even elementary athletes competed. Teams from Abilene Christian, Abilene Wylie, Brownwood, Cool Runnings Home Schools, Cisco, Clyde, Cross Plains, Early, Eastland, Georgetown Gateway, May, Mineral Wells, Priddy, Sterling City, Stephenville, and Zephyr participated in the meet.Brownwood High School JV Boys placed first while both varsity boys and girls placed 2nd as teams. JV girls also placed 3rd as a team. Brownwood Junior High athletes also took top honors as 8th grade girls placed 1st and 7th grade girls earned 2nd as teams. See below for more photos.
