Brownwood News – The Brownwood Fire Department responded to two calls for service between 6:00 am and 7:00 am Thursday morning.

The first call was to the 2700 block of Cleburne Street.  According to Fire Marshal, Buddy Preston, there was an electrical issue in the attic of a structure.  Firemen took care of the situation and cleared the scene within 45 minutes.

They next responded to Brookshire’s Food Store on Austin Avenue.  A smoking fan was found.  “All good,” according to Preston. Units cleared the scene just before 7:30 am.
