Monday, August 10
*12:03 AM – Brownwood Fire Department was called to an agency assist in the 1600 block of Calvert Road, where firefighters responded to a call of trespassing on a roof. Firefighters used a ladder to gain access to the roof and a thermal camera was used to locate the suspects.
*4:57 PM – Brownwood Fire Department was dispatched to a fire call in the 3300 block of Stephen F. Austin, lot #53. Firefighters arrived on scene to find nothing showing. Fire crews found a wall outlet that was melted and a thermal camera was used to check for any extension into the wall. The breaker was turned off and Oncor was notified.
*5:56 PM – Brownwood Fire Department responded to a fire call at Belle Plain Avenue and Maple where a truck pulling a mobile home which knocked down power lines. BFD helped investigate and provided manpower.
Tuesday, August 11
*3:18 PM – Brownwood Fire Department was dispatched to a fire call in the 6800 block of Hwy 183 North. The assistant fire marshal was requested on scene. The fire was out upon arrival.
*3:30 PM – Brownwood Fire Department responded to a motor vehicle accident at 19th Street and Coggin Avenue. Firefighters checked for injuries and provided first aid.
*6:04 PM – Brownwood Fire Department was called to a fire in the 1500 block of Market Place. Fire crews arrived on scene to find a transformer had blown. Oncor was contacted.
Wednesday, August 12
*4:07 PM – Brownwood Fire Department responded to a single vehicle accident with no injuries in the 2700 block of Austin Avenue involving a vehicle striking a building.
*4:37 PM – Brownwood Fire Department was dispatched to a fire call in the 300 block of Market Place. Firefighters arrived on scene to find someone working on the alarm system. The incident was determined to be a smoke detector activation which was unintentional with no fire present.
Thursday, August 13
*7:52 AM – Brownwood Fire Department responded to a single vehicle accident in the 400 block of C.C. Woodson. Firefighters provided first aid and assisted with loading the patient for transport.
Saturday, August 15
*12:11 AM – Brownwood Fire Department responded to a single vehicle accident in the 2300 block of Austin Avenue regarding a vehicle striking a tree. Firefighters assisted with loading the patient for transport.
Sunday, August 16
*9:12 PM – Brownwood Fire Department responded to the area of Beaver & Victoria streets for a possible motorcycle accident; however, fire crews were cancelled en route.
