Monday, February 1

*5:01 PM – Brownwood Fire Department was dispatched to a hazardous materials call at 1st Street and Magnolia Street.  Firefighters arrived on scene to find a minor antifreeze spill in the roadway.  Fire crews removed the fluid from the roadway.

Tuesday, February 2

*10:45 AM – Brownwood Fire Department responded to a motor vehicle accident with no injuries in the 200 block of S. Broadway.  Firefighters arrived on scene to find vehicles moved to parking lot.

*5:33 PM – Brownwood Fire Department were called to a lock-out in the 1500 block of Terrace Drive.  Firefighters arrived on scene to assist EMS with entry into a locked apartment.

*7:45 PM – Brownwood Fire Department was called to a fire in the 2500 block of Elizabeth Drive.  Fire crews arrived on scene to find a small fire in a barrel and advised the resident of the city burn ordinance.

*10:18 PM – Brownwood Fire Department responded to a two-vehicle accident with no injuries at W. Commerce and Austin Avenue.

Wednesday, February 3

*6:21 AM – Brownwood Fire Department was dispatched to a fire call in the 3200 block of Austin Avenue.  Fire crews arrived on scene to investigate a possible fire; however, nothing was found.

*11:22 AM – Brownwood Fire Department was called to a fire in the 7800 block of CR 225.  Firefighters were dispatched for a fire alarm activation.  While en route, the alarm company advised this was a false alarm. It was determined that the alarm activated due to dust from granite being cut.

*11:55 AM – Brownwood Fire Department was dispatched to a two-vehicle accident with no injuries in the 3700 block of South U.S. Hwy 377.  The accident involved a passenger car which collided with a fuel truck.  Fire crews put absorbent on fluid leaks.

Thursday, February 4

*12:18 PM – Brownwood Fire Department responded to a motor vehicle accident at Fisk and Depot Streets.  Fire crews arrived on scene to find vehicles had moved to a parking lot.  Firefighters assisted with loading one occupant for transport.

*6:16 PM – Brownwood Fire Department was called to a fire in the 2900 block of Morris Sheppard Drive.  Firefighters were dispatched to investigate a fire alarm malfunction.

Saturday, February 6

*7:12 PM – Brownwood Fire Department was dispatched to a fire call in the 1300 block of CR 134.  Fire crews were dispatched for a possible grass fire.  Upon arrival, the fire was found to be a controlled burn.

*8:49 PM – Brownwood Fire Department responded to a motor vehicle accident on Bluffview Drive.  Firefighters arrived on scene to find a vehicle had struck a building. Fire crews provided light and manpower.

*11:58 PM – Brownwood Fire Department was dispatched to a fire call in the 1500 block of Coggin Avenue regarding a vacant structure which was on fire.  Firefighters arrived on scene to flames visible at back door.  Fire crews knocked down the fire, made entry and completed a search of the building.

Sunday, February 7

*2:37 AM – Brownwood Fire Department was called to a fire in the area of Broadway and Fisk Street.  Firefighters arrived on scene to find insulator on power line glowing hot.  Oncor was notified.
