Monday, December 14

*2:32 PM – Brownwood Fire Department responded to a three-vehicle accident with no injuries in the 3900 block of US Highway 377 South.  The roadway was cleared by City of Brownwood personnel.

*3:32 PM – Brownwood Fire Department was dispatched to the 1000 block of County Road 423.  Fire crews were dispatched to a grass fire threatening nearby structures. Firefighters knocked down the perimeter of the fire which burned approximately 20 acres.

Tuesday, December 15

*1:36 PM – Brownwood Fire Department responded to a two-vehicle accident with no injuries at Austin Avenue and Main Street.

*6:30 PM – Brownwood Fire Department responded to a two-vehicle accident at Davis Lane and Market Place Blvd.  Fire crews arrived on scene and assisted EMS with packaging and loading of the patient.  Firefighters set up a landing zone for air transport of the patient.

Wednesday, December 16

*4:19 PM – Brownwood Fire Department responded to a head on vehicle accident with entrapment in the 2700 block of Belle Plain Avenue.  Firefighters arrived on scene to find both vehicles with severe frontal damage and occupants still inside.  Two helicopters were launched for transport of two patients.  Fire crews began extrication.  The driver’s door was removed from one vehicle and the driver was loaded into an ambulance, then moved for transport.  A landing zone was established for transport.

*4:51 PM – Brownwood Fire Department responded to a vehicle verses motorcycle accident at 1st Street and Coggin Avenue.  Firefighters helped load the driver of the motorcycle with EMS for transport.

*8:59 PM – Brownwood Fire Department was dispatched to a one-vehicle accident with rollover in the 9600 block of Highway 377.  Fire crews arrived on scene to find a pick up on its roof and all occupants out of the vehicle.  There were no injuries.

Thursday, December 17

*6:33 PM – Brownwood Fire Department responded to a two-vehicle accident with no injuries at Carnegie and Adams Street.

*8:48 PM – Brownwood Fire Department was called to a fire in the 1500 block of Terrace Drive.  Firefighters responded to a smoke alarm activation and the smell of smoke in the residence.  Fire crews arrived on scene to find a heater turned on which had kicked up dust and lint causing smoke alarm to be activated.

Friday, December 18

*5:28 PM – Brownwood Fire Department was dispatched to a hazardous materials call in the 2200 block of Belle Plain Avenue.  Firefighters investigated the smell of gas in the area.  Upon firefighters’ arrival, nothing was found.
