Monday, November 30

*10:18 PM – Brownwood Fire Department was dispatched to a fire call in the 600 block of W. Commerce.  Firefighters were dispatched to investigate smoke in the area.  Only heavy fog was found.

Tuesday, December 1

*7:58 AM – Brownwood Fire Department was dispatched to a motor vehicle accident in the 600 block of W. Commerce.  Firefighters arrived on scene to find a vehicle accident with no injuries in a parking lot.

*2:40 PM – Brownwood Fire Department responded to a 2-vehicle accident in the 500 block of Garmon Drive.  Fire Crews arrived to find all occupants out of the vehicles.

Wednesday, December 2

*11:32 AM – Brownwood Fire Department responded to a 2-vehicle accident with no injuries at the intersection of Austin Avenue and Main Street.

*2:24 PM – Brownwood Fire Department was called to a fire in the 1700 block of Waco Avenue.  Fire crews were dispatched for an electrical box on a telephone pole which was smoking.  A fuse was blown and Oncor was notified.

*2:58 PM – Brownwood Fire Department was dispatched to a fire call in the 1500 block of Indian Creek.  The incident was determined to be a malicious false alarm.

*3:19 PM – Brownwood Fire Department was called to a fire in the 500 block of E. Commerce.  Fire crews responded to an electrical wiring box smoking.  Power was shut off until an electrician could arrive on scene.

*5:07 PM – Brownwood Fire Department was called for a rescue in the 500 block of W. Commerce.  Firefighters arrived on scene to find a small boy with his head wedged between a clothes rack.  Firefighters removed the slide rails, disassembled the rack, and slipped the boys head out of the racks uninjured.

Thursday, December 3

*8:03 PM – Brownwood Fire Department responded to a two-vehicle accident at Coggin Avenue and Durham.  Firefighters arrived on scene with EMS and assisted with packaging and loading one patient for transport to the hospital.

*8:34 PM – Brownwood Fire Department was dispatched to a two vehicle accident with no injuries on Coggin Avenue and Durham.

*9:51 PM – Brownwood Fire Department was called to a fire in the 500 block of Durham Avenue.  Fire crews arrived to find that someone had been burning in a barrel in the backyard of the residence.  The residents were informed of the city ordinance and the fire was extinguished.

Friday, December 4

*11:51 AM – Brownwood Fire Department was dispatched to a fire call in the 100 block of Melwood Avenue to an alarm activation.  Fire crews arrived on scene to find that someone had burned toast causing activation of the alarm.

*6:27 PM – Brownwood Fire Department responded to a multi-vehicle accident with injuries in the 2800 block of North Hwy 279.  Firefighters arrived on scene to help with medical assessment and basic care.  Fire crews provided apparatus and manpower.

Saturday, December 5

*7:33 AM – Brownwood Fire Department  was dispatched to a hazardous materials call in the area of FM 2125 & Belle Plain Avenue regarding a smell of gas in the area.  Upon arrival, firefighters found a tanker truck filling the tanks at a gas station.

*12:54 PM – Brownwood Fire Department was called to a fire in the 700 block of W. Commerce regarding a vehicle fire.  Upon arrival, firefighters found a vehicle on fire in front of a building and extinguished the fire.

*3:36 PM – Brownwood Fire Department was dispatched to the 1700 block of Magnolia Street regarding smoke in the building.  Fire crews arrived on scene to find a cook top on with an empty pan smoking.  The stove was turned off and a ventilation fan was used to remove smoke from the house.

Sunday, December 6

*6:36 PM – Brownwood Fire Department  was dispatched to a fire call in the 3500 block of 2nd Street regarding a fire in the back yard of a residence.  Fire crews went to investigate and found the home owner was in the back yard tending a fire.  He was informed of the city burn ordinance and the fire was extinguished.
