Monday, November 9
*1:06 AM – Brownwood Fire Department responded to a fire call in the 200 block of Whispering Oaks Lane. Fire crews were dispatched to assist Early Volunteer Fire Department with a structure fire. Units arrived on scene to find a fully involved structure fire.
*7:58 AM – Brownwood Fire Department was dispatched to a motor vehicle accident at 15th Street and Brady Avenue. Firefighters arrived on scene and helped EMS in assessing patients.
*12:34 PM – Brownwood Fire Department responded to a two-vehicle accident with no injuries in the 2600 block of North US Hwy. 377.
*4:58 PM – Brownwood Fire Department was dispatched to a two-vehicle accident in the 500 block of E. Commerce. Fire crews arrived on scene to find occupants with minor injuries. One patient was loaded with EMS for transport to the emergency room for evaluation and treatment of injuries.Tuesday, November 10
*12:03 PM – Brownwood Fire Department responded to a motor vehicle accident in the 2200 block of Austin Avenue. Firefighters provided first aid and checked for injuries.
*5:24 PM – Brownwood Fire Department responded to a two-vehicle accident at Coggin Avenue and Durham. Firefighters arrived on scene to find two vehicles with minor damage and no injuries.
Thursday, November 12
*11:49 PM – Brownwood Fire Department was called to a fire in the 1400 block of Avenue I. The incident was determined to be a structure fire. Fire crews arrived on scene to find the structure fully involved and that all occupants were out of the structure. Fire control, extinguishment, salvage and overhaul was performed.
Friday, November 13
*1:49 PM – Brownwood Fire Department was dispatched to a fire call in the 1400 block of Avenue I. The incident was determined to be a smoke scare. Firefighters arrived on the scene of a previous house fire to find clothing smoldering. The article of clothing was removed and the residence was soaked with water.
Saturday, November 14
*4:05 PM – Brownwood Fire Department was called to a fire in the 2000 block of 7th Street. Fire crews arrived on scene to find nothing showing. Firefighters made entry and discovered that an occupant had placed a pizza which was still in the box inside the oven, causing the box to catch on fire. The fire was out upon firefighters’ arrival. A ventilation fan was set up to remove smoke from the residence.
*4:16 PM – Brownwood Fire Department responded to a fire call in the 1900 block of Sierra Drive. Fire crews were dispatched for a structure fire and arrived on scene to find single story structure with smoke showing. The owner had broken a bedroom window and extinguished the fire with a water hose prior to the fire department arriving. Fire crews made entry into the bedroom to find heavy smoke and smoldering debris. A ventilation fan was started and a thermal camera was used to check for any extension. No fires were found. The broken window was secured.
*5:33 PM – Brownwood Fire Department responded to a two-vehicle accident at Calvert & Arrowhead. Fire crews arrived on scene to find a vehicles with moderate damage and no injuries.
