Monday, October 6
*5:59 PM – BFD was dispatched to US 183 involving a vehicle striking a train. Fire units were cancelled in route by first responders on scene.
*8:02 PM – BFD was called to a fire in the 500 block of E. Commerce regarding an alarm system activation. Firefighters arrived on scene to find nothing showing and an investigation determined that a vent-a-hood had not been turned on.
Tuesday, October 7
*9:03 PM – BFD was dispatched to a fire call in the 1200 block of US Hwy 67. The incident was determined to be a controlled burn.
Wednesday, October 8
*10:07 AM – BFD was called to a fire at a residence on Apache Court. The incident was determined to be a self-cleaning oven with smoke. There was no fire.
*3:39 PM – BFD responded to a motor vehicle accident with no injuries on S. Main Street. Fire crews arrived on scene to find all occupants out of the vehicles.Friday, October 10
*10:00 AM – BFD was dispatched to a fire call in the 2300 block of Dickman Drive. Firefighters arrived on scene where a bonfire had been lit earlier and had re-kindled.
*12:19 PM – BFD responded to a motor vehicle accident with no injuries in the 3300 block of 4th Street involving a vehicle which had struck a pole. Oncor and the City of Brownwood street department crews were notified.
*8:36 PM – BFD was dispatched to a fire call in the 300 block of Spillway Road. Firefighters responded with Lake Bridge Volunteer Fire Department for a house fire. Firefighters arrived on scene to find nothing showing. A large tree branch had fallen on the residence’s main power line causing damage to the house.
Saturday, October 11
*11:17 PM – BFD was called to a fire in the 2000 block of 4th Street. Firefighters arrived on scene to find residents in the backyard with a fire in an approved fire pit.
Sunday, October 12
*3:44 PM – BFD responded to a motor vehicle accident on FM 3254. Fire crews arrived on scene to find a man sleeping in his car and that there had been no accident.
Monday, October 13
*2:16 PM – BFD responded to a two-vehicle accident with no injuries involving a pickup and a motor cycle on E Commerce.
*5:48 PM – BFD was dispatched to a fire call in the 2100 block of 14th Street. The incident was determined to be a power line down. Oncor was advised.
Tuesday, October 14
*7:18 AM – BFD responded to a motor vehicle accident at 4th Street and Avenue K. Firefighters arrived on scene to find all occupants were out of the vehicles. EMS transported one patient.
*10:03 AM – BFD was called to a fire in the 1700 block of 9th Street regarding a tree stump on fire. Owners were advised by the fire marshal of city ordinances against burning within the city limits.
Wednesday, October 15
*12:44 PM – BFD was dispatched to a fire call in the 500 block of E. Commerce. The incident was determined to be an alarm system sounding due to malfunction.
*7:12 PM – BFD was called to a fire in the 300 block of CC Woodson. The incident was determined to be an authorized controlled burning in an approved container.
Thursday, October 17
*8:43 AM – BFD was dispatched to a fire in the 1900 block of Belle Plain. Firefighters arrived on scene to find a motorcycle fully involved. Fire fighters extinguished the fire quickly.
*11:48 AM – BFD was called to a fire on Bluffview Drive. Firefighters arrived on scene to find a controlled authorized burn.
