Brownwood City Council Agenda Regular Called Meeting 9:00 a.m., Tuesday, December 10, 2013 Council Chambers, City Hall 501 Center Avenue, Brownwood, Texas.

The City Council of the City of Brownwood, Texas, reserves the right to meet in closed, executive session on any of the items listed below should the need arise and if authorized by Title 5, Chapter 551, of the Texas Government Code.

The City Council may deliberate and/or act on the following items:

6. Citizen Presentations Any citizen who desires to address the City Council on a matter not included on the agenda may do so at this time. The City Council may not deliberate on items presented under this agenda item. To comply with the provisions of the Open Meetings Act, the Council respectfully requests that prior to addressing Council that each person submit a citizen presentation form that is located at the entryway to the Council Chambers, stating your name, address, and topic of presentation. All presentations are subject to a five (5) minute time limit.

9. Public Hearing Conduct a public hearing on the following proposed Ordinance and consider Ordinance on/first reading.

A. Consider an Ordinance on first reading to close and abandon (I) a 13′ wide alley between Booker Street and Main Street and (2) close a 10′ wide alley that begins at Wesley Street and extends northeasterly 121′ and retain it as a utility easement.

10. Ordinances and Resolutions

A. Consider an Ordinance on second and third / final readings changing the zoning classification of 2310 and 2314 Main Boulevard, being Block 25, Lots 2-5, of the Brownwood Heights Addition from MH Manufactured Home / Mobile Horne District to M I Restricted Industrial District.

11. Requests and Presentations

A. Consider authorizing the expenditure not to exceed $35,000 to repair the Fire Department 1997 Quint 1, combination Ladder / Pumper truck, and take the funds from reserves.

12. Appointments

A. Consider ratification of Mayoral appointments to the following Boards and Commissions: Airport Board, Audit Committee, Brown County Appraisal District, Building and Standards Commission, Civil Service Commission, Martin & Frances Lehnis Transportation Museum Advisory Board, Library Board, Parks Advisory Commission, Planning and Zoning, Unified Appeals Board, and Zoning Board of Adjustments.

B. Consider the appointment of a Human Resources / Civil Service Director.
