On 2/27/2019, at around 6:18 PM, Cpl. Taylor Fletcher, performed a traffic stop on a silver Buick Sedan, with a trailer, for a defective headlight. After a positive canine alert on the vehicle, and a probable cause search, a baggie of methamphetamine was found in the front floorboard between the driver, Morris Mood, and passenger, Demetria Valenzuela. The vehicle was moved to the Brown County Jail to perform a thorough search. Another baggie of methamphetamine was found among items from inside the car. Mood and Valenzuela were both arrested for Possession Controlled Substance PG, 1>4 Grams for the 2 baggies of meth found with an aggregate weight of about 3.9 grams. Modd had also initially provided an Arizona Driver’s License belonging to someone else, and had multiple active parole warrants for his arrest.

On March 1, 2019, at 1:11 PM, Deputy Jayson Bastardo, was dispatched to 1050 W Commerce (Law Enforcement Center). This was in regards to theft of a firearm. Upon arrival, the complainant said an unknown person had stolen his rifle from the back of his Polaris Ranger. A report was taken.

On March 01, 2019, at 2:40 PM, Deputy Jayson Bastardo, was dispatched to N 279 in Brownwood, TX. This was in regards to Burglary of a Habitation. Upon arrival, I met with the complainant. They stated a suspect had taken several firearms from the residence. A report was taken.

On 03/01/2019, Deputy Mason Fabbiani, performed a traffic stop on a red Chevy Silverado in the 300 block of West Commerce. During the stop it was determined the driver of the vehicle, Lonnie Ray Wooten, had been under the influence of alcohol. After completing the field sobriety test, it was determined Wooten was intoxicated and taken into custody. Wooten was transported to BRMC for a blood test then to Brown County Jail.

On Saturday, March 2, 2019, at approximately 12:48 PM, Deputy Scotty Burke, was dispatched to Thunderbird Dr., May, TX. The complainant advised he discovered his vehicle had been shot and damaged while traveling on Hwy 183 North. The report will follow.

On Saturday, March 2, 2019, at approximately 11:00 AM, Deputy Scotty Burke, met with the complainant at the LEC. This was in reference to a theft of property report.  Complainant advised a cordless drill and 2 batteries were taken from a job site.  The report will follow.
