Monday, June 9

*2:41 PM – BFD was dispatched to a fire call in the 500 block of W. Commerce.  Firefighters arrived on scene to find an alarm company testing the property’s fire alarm.  There was no fire.

*3:07 PM – BFD was called to a fire at another property in the 500 block of W. Commerce.  Fire crews arrived on scene to find an alarm company testing the property’s fire alarm.  There was no fire.

Thursday, June 12

*11:10 AM – BFD responded to a motor vehicle accident at the intersection of Crockett Drive and US Hwy 377.  The wreck was found to be a minor accident with no injuries.

*7:24 PM – BFD responded to the report of a lock-in at a property in the 3200 block of Milam Drive.  Firefighters arrived on scene to find a baby locked inside a vehicle, which crews unlocked.

*8:40 PM – BFD was dispatched to a single vehicle accident in the 600 block of FM 3254.  The occupants of the vehicle fled the scene.

Friday, June 13

*2:03 AM – BFD was called to a fire at a bank on Center Avenue.  Firefighters investigated and found the alarm system had sounded due to a malfunction.

*9:21 AM – BFD was dispatched to a fire call in the 8000 block of Dorothy Lane regarding an alarm activation.  Firefighters investigated and nothing was found.

*11:24 AM – BFD was called to a fire in the 200 block of N. Main.  Firefighters arrived on scene where a vehicle was on fire and all occupants were out of the vehicle.  Firefighters were able to extinguish the fire and checked for hot spots.

*2:07 PM – BFD responded to a bee incident at a property on Avenue A.  Firefighters arrived on scene to find occupants who reported aggressive bees.  The complainants were advised to call a bee keeper.

*3:06 PM – BFD was dispatched to a fire call at a bank on Center Avenue.  Firefighters found that the alarm system had sounded due to malfunction.

*4:24 PM – BFD was dispatched to a fire call on FM 1176.  Fire crews arrived on scene to find about an acre grass fire.  Firefighters were able to knock down the fire.  Verizon was notified of a box which was damaged in fire.

Saturday, June 14

*9:12 PM – BFD was called to a fire in the 100 block of Graham.  Firefighters responded to a report of smoke in the residence.  A discarded cigarette had caught the grass on fire.  Fire crews checked for hot spots with the thermal camera.

Sunday, June 15

*9:05 AM – BFD responded to a two-vehicle accident with no injuries on the Bill Monroe Overpass (Austin Avenue).

*11:57 AM – BFD responded to a motor vehicle accident in the 2000 block of US 377 involving a moped. Firefighters checked for injuries and provided first aid, then loaded the patient into an ambulance for transport.

*8:34 PM – BFD was dispatched to a two-vehicle accident at the intersection of Coleman Street and Melwood.  Firefighters extricated and disentangled an occupant of one of the vehicles and assisted with loading the patient for transport.
