Alice Kay Graf, 72, of Brownwood was called home to meet her Savior on May 27, 2019.

Alice was born on November 29, 1946 in Easton, Kansas to William and Marie Henson. She married Rev. Philip John Graf on July 9, 1977. She is survived by her brother, Wayne Henson of Ogden, Kansas, son Philip, Jr., his wife Kristie and grandson Titus John of Leander, TX and her son Chris, his wife Toni and granddaughters Kaci, Erin, and Jaden of Brownwood.

Alice’s father, mother and loving husband proceeded her in death.

Alice was a long-time resident of Brownwood. She graduated from high school in Leavenworth, KS and graduated with a degree in Elementary Education from Concordia in Seward, Nebraska. She loved being a wife, mother, and grandmother. She and her beloved husband, Rev. Philip Graf, Sr., spent 29 wonderful years together raising their family and serving the Lord.  She enjoyed teaching for many years, participating in and leading Bible study groups, Sunday school, vacation Bible school, the Lutheran Women’s Missionary League, and singing in the ‘Wild Bunch’ at local nursing homes. Alice had a heart full of compassion, a listening ear, and an ever-joyful countenance. She treasured her family and friends and loved Jesus most of all.

Visitation will be held at Davis-Morris Funeral Home on Thursday, May 30th from 6:00 – 8:00 P.M. The funeral will be held at Grace Lutheran Church in Brownwood, Texas on Friday, May 31st at 10:00 A.M. Burial will follow at Greenleaf Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the Grace Lutheran Church scholarship fund to support education for full time church workers.
