Caring Family Network will host “A Nite at the Races” fundraiser event on Saturday, October 27th beginning at 6:00pm at Sorrel Canyon Ranch, just outside of Brownwood.
A Nite at the Races is a fundraiser for Caring Family Network, a non-profit child placing agency for foster and adoptive children in the state of Texas. The fundraiser benefits the children and families located in Brown and surrounding Counties and primarily goes to help give them a more magical Christmas.
“At the event, twelve pre-recorded thoroughbred horse races are played (a company sends them to us in sealed packaging) and you are able to bet on the races with ‘funny money’ just as if you were really there,” states April Conway of CFN. “It’s a ton of fun and everyone really gets into it.”
Attendees will be provided a steak dinner, drinks all night, silent auction, and door prizes. The Zach Edwards Band will play after the races. Souvenir cups & koozies are given to each attendee.Sponsor a horse for $20 by naming the horse and pick what number he runs in his race (possibly your lucky number). Tickets are $65 per person and are available for purchase until the day of the event. Those attending must be 21 or older.
