The Brownwood Area Chamber of Commerce will host the 5th Annual Spring Business Showcase on Saturday, April 14th at the Brownwood Coliseum which is presented by Hoffpauir Outdoor Superstore, McCoy’s Building Supply, Staples and Big Country Ford.
The show has expanded this year to offer more demonstrations, vendors, food and exhibitors for those who attend. In the past, the spring business show focused mostly on seasonal activities such as outdoor recreation, gardening, and home improvements. This year to allow better exposure for all participants, the show has been expanded to included businesses of any type.
The theme for 2012 is “Business is Blooming” and will host several new components in this year’s lineup. Due to the popularity of the “Taste of Brownwood” in the fall, the “Taste of Spring” has been added this year where visitors can taste food samples from local restaurants, caterers and bakeries from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM. There will also be a contest where attendees can vote on who makes the best hamburger in Brownwood.
Several new events have been added and expanded this year including fashion shows and how-to demonstrations at the top of every hour starting at noon. See spring fashions from Dazzling Diva’s and Dot’s Closet Boutique, learn information on the latest online greeting card sensation and get tips on home insulation from the pros at Owens Corning.
Door prizes will be given out each hour, compliments of participating vendors and at the end of the day; visitors who play Expo Bingo will be eligible to win the grand door prize.
Tickets to the event cost $2 at the door for adults and children 10 and under get in free. The show hours are 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM this Saturday.
