The American Southwest Conference today announced its women’s basketball players of the week and Howard Payne’s Brittany Zamora was named ASC West Division Player of the Week for the second time this season.

Brittany Zamora, G, So. – Howard Payne sophomore guard Brittany Zamora (Cedar Park, TX / Vista Ridge HS) averaged 28.5 points, four assists, three rebounds and two steals over two conference games.
Zamora, who takes the division’s top weekly honor for the second time this year, poured in a career-high 35 points in a loss to Hardin-Simmons that also tied the ASC single-game high this season. Zamora then had 22 points and eight assists in a win over McMurry. On the week, she went 20-for-25 from the free-throw line, 5-for-9 from the 3-point range and committed only three turnovers.
