A two vehicle accident around 4:45pm Wednesday afternoon sent multiple people to the hospital.
A Cadillac Escalade and a Jeep Compass collided at the intersection of US Highway 377 and Morris Sheppard Drive in front of Section Hand restaurant. A total of eight people were taken to Brownwood Regional Medical Center via Guardian EMS with undisclosed injuries.
Southbound traffic on Highway 377 was diverted down Crockett Drive for about 45 minutes while emergency crews tended to injuries and the site was cleared.
Brownwood Police are investigating the crash.
