The Brownwood Area Chamber of Commerce, Early Chamber of Commerce, Council Finance and the Small Business Development Center will hold a free “Starting a Small Business” workshop on June 28th.
This one-hour workshop presented by Randy Thomas of the Small Business Development Center will outline how to start a small business in the area and what local resources are available.
This interactive one-hour workshop will help prospective entrepreneurs start down the path to successful business ownership. They will learn:
• About laws and regulations for starting a business;
• About the business plan writing process;
• Accessing local, state and federal resources;
• Where you can get free, one-on-one help to get started
An opportunity for networking will begin at 11:30am and the free workshop will take place from noon – 1pm in the Bertrand Technology Solutions Meeting Room inside the Brownwood Area Chamber of Commerce office located at 600 E Depot. Attendees are welcome to bring their lunch and enjoy an informative workshop as a starting point for opening a new business.
