Brownwood Fire Department was called to the 2200 block of Main Blvd. in response to the report of a house fire shortly after 3pm on Tuesday.

Officials said that the structure was a mobile home with an attached workshop.  Only the workshop was in flames when firefighters arrived according to BFD officials.  The occupants of the residence were home at the time the fire began, but were safely outside when BFD arrived.  It is believed that the fire started in the attached workshop; however the cause of t he fire is not known at this time.  Firefighters were able to extinguish the fire before it could spread to the main dwelling area of the mobile home.
