Woodland Heights Elementary announces the winter kick off- sign up event, Dads and Doughnuts, for their campus WATCH D.O.G.S. (Dads of Great Students). The event will be held at Woodland Heights Elementary from 7:30 – 7:50 AM. on Thursday, February 5th.
Students, fathers and father-figures of Woodland Heights Elementary students are invited to attend. Woodland Heights Elementary is located at 3900 4th Street in Brownwood.
Each school year, thousands of men volunteer to work at least one day in their child’s school through the WATCH D.O.G.S. program. These men work alongside the educators to help as crossing guards, car/bus rider facilitators, hallway monitors, library assistants, lunchroom helpers, classroom and homework tutors and playground/gymnasium coaches. The possibilities are endless. Every school year these men have a positive impact on the lives of hundreds of thousands of kids nationwide.
Organizers encourage current WatchDogs and those whose children have wanted them to sign up as a volunteer for the Watchdog program to come and enjoy doughnuts with your child while learning a little about what it’s like being a Watchdog.
