The Woman’s Club of Brownwood will have a store full of “gently used” merchandise to sell Saturday, October 13th, all for a good cause – raising funds for various charitable service organizations to be distributed in the spring. The rummage sale has been the club’s principal fundraiser for six years.
The club’s annual rummage sale will last from 8:00 am until 4:00 pm and for the third year will be held in Heartland Mall, in the store area formerly occupied by Corral West.
The “NO EARLY SALE” rule will be strictly enforced, but once the doors are opened the sale begins, buyers and bargain shoppers are promised a fabulous shopping experience according to organizers.
Merchandise ranging from furniture, appliances, clothes, home décor, toys, books utensils, coats, shoes, bedding and linens will be available. A Sweet Shop will have homemade baked goods, and a Re-Gift Shop includes items which have never been used.
The Woman’s Club was organized in the early 1970’s as a service organization, adopting as its motto “United in Friendship; Inspired by Need.” The club has approximately 80 members and all volunteer at a number of various agencies and organizations. In addition to their volunteer service, they donate items and their time.
