The National Weather Service in San Angelo has issued a winter weather advisory for snow which is in effect from 6 am to noon Friday for the Brownwood area.
Expect light snow to initially develop this evening, mainly west of a Haskell to San Angelo to Ozone line between 6 am and noon tomorrow and for locations mainly along and south of interstate 20. Brief moderate to heavy snowfall is possible. Accumulations ranging from one half to one inch are possible. In addition, some locations across this area may have higher accumulations.
A winter weather advisory means that periods of snow may cause travel difficulties. Be prepared for slippery roads and limited visibilities. Also use caution while driving.
