Wilma was born on February 15, 1942 in Paducah, Texas to Harry D. and Alta Evelyn (Lynch) Betts. She was an instructor for Ranger College School of Cosmetology for 13 years. The best word to describe Wilma is “love.” She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and mother-in-law. Wilma was a member of Crossroads Baptist Church.
Those left behind to cherish her memory include her husband, Billy Gregory of Brownwood; son Charles Harvey and fiancée, Linda Dickey of Early; daughters Alta Yeats and husband, Rick of Brownwood and Tammy Adams and husband, Bubba of Olton; two brothers, Donald Betts and wife, Cynthia of Bowie and Glen Betts and wife Francis of Lake Brownwood; 10 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren; stepchildren, Jack Richard Gregory of Watonga, Oklahoma, Sue Grubbs of Watonga, Oklahoma, Billie Fay Pfeifle and husband, Rob of Alamogordo, New Mexico and Billie Jo Gregory of Sweetwater; 20 step-grandchildren and 19 step-great grandchildren, as well as another on the way.
She was preceded in death by her parents, first husband, Junior Harvey and brothers Tommy Betts, Jackie Betts and Charles Harvey, Jr.
