Graveside Services for William Ward (Bill) Luck, age 89, of Brownwood, will be held Friday August 26, 2011 at 10:15 a.m. at Dallas-Ft Worth National Cemetery in Dallas, TX. Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. Thursday evening at Davis-Morris Funeral Home. He passed away Tuesday August 23, 2011 in Brownwood, Texas. William was born on July 26, 1922 in Paris, Texas to Tapley Pyron and Mary Elizabeth (Abel) Luck.
He was a Combat Infantry Veteran WWII, seeing action in the Solomon Islands, New Guinea, and Luzon Philippine Island; also serving 32 months in the Pacific. Bill was a woodworker and was a Building Supervisor most of his life, he lived in Keller, TX for more than 50 years. He met and married his loving wife Esther in Ft. Worth and was married for 60 years.
Bill is survived by 2 daughters; Brenda Plaster and husband Scotty of Early, TX; Debi Hodges of Dallas, TX. 2 Grandsons; Brian Plaster and wife Crystal of Glen Rose, TX; Chad Plaster of Brownwood, TX. 4 Great-grandchildren; Colt, Hunter, Baylie and Krista Plaster, also many friends and family. Bill is preceded in death by his loving wife, Esther Luck; his parents Tapley and Mary Luck. A brother; Marion Luck; and sister Emma Lou Willis.
