Funeral services for William Lowell Long will be Wednesday January 19, 2011 at 10:00 A.M. in the Heartland Funeral Home Chapel in Early, Texas with interment to follow in the Cox Cemetery in McCulloch County. Mr. Long passed away Sunday at a local nursing home.
William was born February 12, 1938 at home in Holt, Texas to William M. and Addie Mitchel Long. He graduated from Brookesmith High School, was a member of the Texas National Guard. The was a member of the Church of Christ Church. William was a carpenter by trade. He loved country and western music and was a member of his Mother’s band along with Joe Tervoorn, the band was named the “Rhythm Rascals”.
Mr. Long is survived by one son Lowell Daine Long of Brady, Texas, his aunt Irene Cummings of Richland Springs, Texas. He was also survived by several cousins.
William was preceded in death by his parents.
