Funeral services for William Howard Dean will be held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, September 17, 2014 at the Heartland Funeral Chapel Early, Texas. Interment will follow at Trickham Cemetery in Coleman County. Visitation will be held from 6-8 p.m. Tuesday at Heartland Funeral Home in Early, Texas.
He passed away Sunday, September 14, 2014, in Brownwood.
William was born August 19, 1952, in Brownwood, Texas, to William David and Ruby Lee Jones Dean. He was a Baptist. He was married to Janet Cleveland June 2, 2000 in Brownwood. William loved to work with his hand, doing wood work, gardening, and fishing, he also loved to read and write music. Brownwood was his home.William is survived by his wife, Janet Dean of Brownwood; his mother, Ruby Smith of Brownwood; step-mother, Verda Anderson of Brownwood; his children; sons, Joshua and wife Shena Dean of Brownwood, Kevin Dean of Arizona, William Dean of Ohio; daughter, Anita and husband Jason Brown of Brownwood. He is survived by nine grandchildren and one great-grandchild. William is also survived by brother, Ottis and wife Lillie Dean of Arkansas; sisters, Dianne Anderson of Brownwood, Lavona Davis of Brownwood. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father, David Dean; brother, Calvin Dean; step-fathers, William O. Anderson and Lt. Col. Ottis Smith; grandson, Jacob Dean; and granddaughter, Carissa Dean.
