William “Butch” Mann, age 71, of Owens passed away suddenly on April 19, 2015 with his family at his side, while at the Austin Heart Hospital.

He was born to the late Tommy and Mildred Mann in Trinity, Texas, on December 4, 1943.

Butch enjoyed being with family, taking long vacations, woodworking, four-wheeling and traveling the back country and back roads. Butch did not know retirement, as he enjoyed staying active and busy. He was truly a master of many trades.

Survivors include: his wife, soul mate and best friend of 53 years, Charlotte “Sue” Wells Mann. They married Sept 14, 1961 in Brownwood. Survivors also include two daughters: Vicki Mann Musick of Owens and her husband Danny and  Lisa Mann Wade of Palestine, and her husband Tony; four grandchildren, Cody Wade and Eibhlin, Chase Musick and wife Cheyenne, Chance Musick and wife Lauran and Corey Wade; five great-grandchildren, Carbyn, Brayden, Braxton, Ethan and Madeleine.

Other survivors include three brothers, Tony, Horace Ray, Tommy and a sister Barbara, along with several nieces and a nephew.

In honoring Butch’s wishes, there will not be a memorial service and only a family gathering to be announced at a later date.

Heartland Funeral Home in Early TX is handling initial arrangements. Please visit their web page at heartlandfuneralhome.net.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the American Heart Association (https://donatenow.heart.org/) in Butch’s honor.

Butch will be missed dearly.
