Funeral services for William Albert (Buddy) Dame, age 74, will be held 10:00 AM Tuesday, June 24, 2014 at the Heartland Funeral Home in Early. Interment will follow in the Blanket Cemetery. The family will receive friends 6:00 – 8:00 PM Monday at the funeral home. Mr. Dame went to be with the Lord at 9:20 PM on Friday, June 20, 2014 in Brownwood.
Buddy was born August 11, 1939 in Center, Oklahoma to Clinton and Pauline Guess Dame. He graduated from Vanoss High School in Vanoss, OK and then East Texas State University in Commerce, Texas with his BS and MS Degrees. He was a Vocational Ag teacher in the Blanket ISD and Brownwood State School. Buddy was a cowboy and loved raising show cattle and horses. He was a Baptist.
Survivors include his sister Edwyna Wood of Flower Mound, Texas; his two sons Steve Dame and wife Stacey of Balmorhea, Texas, Tim Dame and wife Angela of Eastland, Texas; three grandchildren Brody Dame and wife Megan, Amy Dame, Cole Dame and wife Amanda; three great grandchildren Kaylee, Harper and Voss. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Buddy was preceded in death by his parents and a granddaughter Camie Dame Caporale.
