Willene Watkins, age 75, of Lake Brownwood passed from this life on August 4, 2010 at Brownwood Regional Medical Center. Funeral services will be held Friday August 6, 2010 at 2:00pm at the Blaylock Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Art Switzer officiating. Interment will follow at the Rocky Creek Cemetery.
Willene was born January 6, 1935 to Albert and Hattie Baker in Brownwood. Willene was known for her beautiful smile and her sense of humor. She loved people and was loved by many. She was a homemaker and a very loving mother and grandmother. She was a very active member of the 1st Baptist Church of Lake Brownwood.
She is survived by her husband Bill Watkins of Lake Brownwood, her children Eugene Newton, Sue Trowbridge and long time companion Stan Russell, Eva Egger and husband and David Egger and Linda Newton all of Brownwood; 11 grandchildren and 24 great-grandchildren, her sister Margie Ann Chance of Brownwood and numerous nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents, her sister Dicie Fulton, her brother Elmer Baker and her son-in-law Phillip Trowbridge.
