The Rising Star ISD Education Foundation invites the public to the 1st Annual Wildcat BBQ Cook-off sanctioned through the Lonestar BBQ Society.
The BBQ Cook-off will be located at the Rising Star City Park May 3rd, 4th, and 5th. All proceeds will benefit the ISD Education Foundation. Entry Fee is $80 with an 80% payback. There is also a kids’ cook-off May 4th. Judges will be needed.
Also, on May 4th, the Rising Star Open Air Market will be going on in the downtown area as well as a farmers market in the old market building. Organizers state that there will be something going on for the whole family.
