Emergency responders were called to an 18-wheeler accident Friday night around 6 PM on Highway 183N near FM 2273 about 10 miles north of Early.
According to Texas Department of Public Safety officials who worked the scene of the accident, the truck hit a slick spot in the wet road, jackknifed, and ran off the roadway. The driver and co-driver in the cab of the truck where not injured.
Officials said that the accident pulled the cab off of the truck. It took more than three hours to clear the scene of the accident.
Brown County Sheriff’s office, Early Volunteer Fire Department, and May Volunteer Fire Department assisted at the scene.
