Wes, Wesley Allan Fletcher Jr., passed from this life Monday, September 20, 2010.  Wes is now in Paradise with Jesus Christ, Angels rejoicing.

Funeral Services will be held on Sunday September 26, 2010 at 2:00pm at Coggin Avenue Baptist Church in Brownwood.  Interment will follow at the Jordan Springs Cemetery with full Masonic Rites.  The family will receive friends from 5:00-8:00 on Saturday September 25 at the Blaylock Funeral Home Chapel 1914 Indian Creek Rd. in Brownwood.

Wes was born January 27, 1978 in Brownwood, Texas.  His family returned to Brownwood and Wes entered the BISD system at Woodland Heights Elementary in the third grade and graduated from Brownwood High School in 1996.  Wes excelled in athletics, lettering in football, soccer and track.

Wes attended Texas Tech for his freshman year and continued his education at Cisco Jr. College, Tarleton State University and Austin Community College.  Earning a Computer Aided Drafting Associate Degree from Austin College.

Wes had married during this time to Carrie Kelcy.  That marriage brought forth the birth of their daughter Mia Nichol Fletcher.  After moving to Austin, the young couple struggled, sought help, however the marriage ended, but never their mutual devotion to Mia.  Wes continued to go to school and work as he raised his Angel on Earth, Mia his beloved daughter.

Mia is his everything.  His patience, loving-kindness, generosity and Christian values went into everything he could give his precious and wonderful daughter.  They are buddies, what a beautiful relationship.

Moving back to Brownwood, Wes applied his CAD degree at Fenton Environmental.  Architecture, design and construction were interests he pursued.

Challenging himself, Wes began a self study education through “Falling Awake” in California where he decided to pursue a career in Real Estate.  Wes began his career in real estate under the brokerage and mentorship of Donnie Stegemoller Realtors in Brownwood.  The Stegemoller family embraced Wes, encouraged his talents and nurtured him to a successful Realtor.

Wes was a Spiritual man with a tender and loving heart.  You knew when you shook his hand or hugged his neck.   From conversations as a child with his late Grandfather, Dr. Joseph T. McClain, Baptist Preacher and Professor, and with his parents, and buddies, Wes continued to seek God’s Will in his life.  He enjoyed attending Promise Keepers with his friends and later Legacy Outfitters in Brownwood.

Continuing his spiritual walk, Wes became a Master Mason at Brownwood Lodge 279  Ancient Free and Accepted Masons. Wes was recently installed as the Junior Deacon in his walk through the Chairs of the Lodge.

Wes loved the outdoors and sports that took him to lakes and fields with his companion “Drake” and “Roux”.  Wes and his “Brothers” fished and hunted from the Texas Gulf Coast to the fields of Wisconsin, from the breaks of the Florida Gulf to rough country of West Texas. Wes was involved in the conservation of the species he loved to hunt.

In June of this year, Wes married Shouna Graves of Brownwood.  Shouna’s devotion, love and friendship brought Wes much joy and fulfillment.  She and Gage are an answer to Wes and his family’s prayer for Wes’ happiness by this Godsend Lady. This marriage also gave Wes a son, Gage that he loved and deeply cherished.

For a young man, Wes threw his net over a wide circle, endearing people from all walks of life, from those whom have just enough to those who have plenty.  With his endearing smile, genuine concern and generous heart, Wes’ absence will be felt by many.

Wes fought the Good Fight.  God answered all our prayers.  As humans, we sought a different answer.  Wes is in Paradise, Angels are singing…Praising his Lord Jesus Christ, Savior and Redeemer.
