Fuel prices in the Brownwood & Early area showed some weakness this past week along with the state average for gasoline.
Regular unleaded gasoline prices in Brownwood and Early ranged between $2.32-2.39 per gallon on Sunday. Although the low price is about the same as last week, several stations dropped under the $2.40 mark during the week.
This was mirrored state wide as oil prices dropped back under $70 per barrel and wholesale gasoline prices also showed a drop on Friday.
Gasbuddy.com reports that the average price for regular unleaded in Texas is $2.34 per gallon which is about a nickel drop from this time last week. Gasbuddy.com is also showing a downward trend in the prices.
Looking at technical indicators for wholesale unleaded gasoline, INO.com expects a steady to lower opening on Monday and a sideways to lower prices are possible near-term.
This could extend the decline for fuel prices at the pump even more in the next couple of weeks. Check back for another report next weekend.
