Below are the fishing reports for area lakes as reported by the Texas Parks and Wildlife Department this week.
Lake Brownwood
Water murky; 73–78 degrees; 10.48′ low. Black bass are good on watermelon and craw colored crankbaits and spinnerbaits in 5–15 feet. Hybrid striper are fair on minnows. White bass are good on minnows and Li’l Fishies. Crappie are fair on minnows and white tube jigs in 10–20 feet. Channel catfish are fair on shrimp and stinkbait. Yellow catfish are good on trotlines baited with perch.
Lake Coleman
Water lightly stained; 69–73 degrees; 15.44′ low. Black bass are fair on watermelon soft plastics, crankbaits, and Rat–L–Traps. Hybrid striper are slow. Crappie are fair on minnows. Channel catfish are good on live bait. Yellow catfish are slow.
O.H. Ivie Reservoir
Water stained; 70–76 degrees; 41.41′ low. Black bass are fair to good on Rat–L–Traps, Texas rigs, jigs and swim jigs. Crappie are fair on minnows and jigs. White bass are fair to good on tail spinners and live bait. Catfish are fair to good on nightcrawlers and cut bait.
Lake Proctor
Water stained; 72–76 degrees; 0.21′ low. Black bass are fair on soft plastics, crankbaits, and Rat–L–Traps. Striped bass are good on minnows and Li’l Fishies. White bass are good on minnows and shad. Crappie are good on minnows and pink tube jigs. Channel and blue catfish are good on shad and stinkbait. Yellow catfish are fair on trotlines baited with live bait.
