Below are the fishing reports for area lakes as reported by the Texas Parks and Wildlife Department this week.
Lake Brownwood
Water lightly stained; 69–73 degrees; 15.78′ low. Black bass are fair on medium running crankbaits, chartreuse buzzbaits, and watermelon worms over brush piles in 8–15 feet. Hybrid striper are slow. White bass are good on Li’l Fishies and minnows off lighted docks at night. Crappie are slow. Channel catfish are fair on cut bait and shrimp over baited holes. Yellow catfish are slow.
Lake Coleman
Water clear; 68–71 degrees; 15.62′ low. Black bass are fair on watermelon crankbaits, soft plastic worms, and Rat–L–Traps. Hybrid striper are fair on live minnows. Crappie are fair on minnows and white tube jigs over brush piles. Channel catfish are good on stinkbait, shrimp, and nightcrawlers. Yellow catfish are slow.
O.H. Ivie Reservoir
Water stained; 58–70 degrees; 37.94′ low. Black bass are fair to good on Rat–L–Traps, shallow running crankbaits, Texas rigs and 3″ swimbaits. Crappie are fair on minnows and jigs. White bass are fair to good on Little Georges. Catfish are fair to good on nightcrawlers.
Lake Proctor
Water clear; 68–72 degrees; 7.80′ low. Black bass are good on perch colored spinnerbaits, crankbaits, and Rat–L–Traps. Striped bass are good on chartreuse striper jigs and minnows. White bass are fair on cut shad. Crappie are fair on minnows. Channel and blue catfish are good on stinkbait, shrimp, and shad. Yellow catfish are fair on live bait.
