Below are the fishing reports for area lakes as reported by the Texas Parks and Wildlife Department this week.
Lake Brownwood
Water clear; 78 degrees; 8.46′ low. Black bass are good on spinnerbaits, crankbaits, and Rat–L–Traps. Hybrid striper are fair on silver spoons. White bass are good on chartreuse crankbaits at night. Crappie are good on minnows over brush piles. Channel catfish are fair on stinkbait and shrimp. Yellow catfish are slow.
Lake Coleman
Water fairly clear; 77 degrees; 9.71′ low. Black bass are fair on spinnerbaits and soft plastics. Hybrid striper are slow. Crappie are good on minnows. Channel catfish are good on shrimp and stinkbait. Yellow catfish are slow.
O.H. Ivie Reservoir
Water lightly stained; 72–77 degrees; 25.93′ low. Black bass are fair on shallow running crankbaits, Texas rigs and Carolina rigs with a short leader. Crappie are fair to good on minnows and jigs. White bass are good on Road Runners. Channel catfish are good on live and cut bait.
Lake Proctor
Water murky; 78 degrees; 4.99′ low. Black bass are good on spinnerbaits, crankbaits, and minnows. Striped bass are fair on minnows and chartreuse striper jigs. White bass are fair on minnows. Crappie are fair on minnows. Channel and blue catfish are good on shrimp and stinkbait. Yellow catfish are slow.
