Below are the fishing reports for area lakes as reported by the Texas Parks and Wildlife Department this week.
Lake Brownwood
Water clear; 56–60 degrees; 10.67′ low. Black bass are good on craw and black/blue Bass Hogg jigs, Persuader crankbaits, and GrandeBass 4″ Trickster worms over brush piles. Hybrid striper are slow. White bass are fair on Li’l Fishies, spinnerbaits, and crankbaits off lighted docks. Crappie are fair on Li’l Fishies and minnows over brush piles. Channel catfish are fair on cut bait and nightcrawlers over baited holes. Yellow catfish are slow.Lake Coleman
Water lightly stained; 58–62 degrees; 13.94′ low. Black bass are fair on watermelon soft plastics and Rat–L–Traps. Hybrid striper are good on chartreuse striper jigs. Crappie are fair on minnows over brush piles. Channel catfish are good on stinkbait and cut bait. Yellow catfish are slow.
O.H. Ivie Reservoir
Water stained; 54–62 degrees; 35.91′ low. Black bass are fair on shakyheads, jigs, Rat–L–Traps and Texas rigs. Crappie are fair to good on minnows and jigs. White bass are fair on slabs and Rooster Tails. Catfish are fair on nightcrawlers and prepared bait.
Lake Proctor
Water lightly stained; 55–59 degrees; 5.44′ low. Black bass are slow. Striped bass are good on chartreuse striper jigs. White bass are good trolling watermelon crankbaits. Crappie are fair on minnows. Channel and blue catfish are fair on live shad and shrimp. Yellow catfish are slow.
