Below are the fishing reports for area lakes as reported by the Texas Parks and Wildlife Department this week.
Lake Brownwood
Water lightly stained; 58–62 degrees; 10.31′ low. Black bass are fair on chartreuse Bass Hogg spinnerbaits, jigs, and crankbaits along shorelines. Hybrid striper are slow. White bass are good on Li’l Fishies and minnows. Crappie are fair on Li’l Fishies and tube jigs over brush piles. Channel catfish are slow. Yellow catfish are slow.
Lake Coleman
Water lightly stained; 62–66 degrees; 13.44′ low. Black bass are good on watermelon soft plastics, spinnerbaits, and Rat–L–Traps. Hybrid striper are slow. Crappie are fair on minnows. Channel catfish are good on stinkbait and frozen shrimp. Yellow catfish are slow.
O.H. Ivie Reservoir
Water stained; 48–54 degrees; 34.46′ low. Black bass are fair to good on Rat–L–Traps, Texas rigs, chatterbaits and shaky heads. Crappie are fair on minnows and jigs. White bass are fair on slabs. Catfish are fair to good on nightcrawlers and prepared bait.
Lake Proctor
Water lightly stained; 54–58 degrees; 5.07′ low. Black bass are slow. Striped bass are fair on white striper jigs. White bass are slow. Crappie are good on minnows. Channel and blue catfish are fair on juglines baited with cut shad. Yellow catfish are slow.
