Below are the fishing reports for area lakes as reported by the Texas Parks and Wildlife Department this week.
Lake Brownwood
Water clear; 11.09′ low. Black bass are good on shad colored spinnerbaits and Bass Hogg jigs, and on watermelon Grande Bass Finesse worms in coves. Hybrid striper are slow. White bass are good on small Rat–L–Traps and shad colored crankbaits. Crappie are very good on Li’l Fishies and tube jigs. Channel catfish are fair on shrimp. Yellow catfish are slow.
Lake Coleman
Water clear; 66 – 69 degrees; 11.91′ low. Black bass are fair on soft plastic lizards, spinnerbaits and jerkbaits. Hybrid striper are slow. Crappie are slow. Channel catfish are fair on minnows. Yellow catfish are slow.
O.H. Ivie Reservoir
Water stained; 66–70 degrees; 29.32′ low. Black bass are good on shad pattern crank baits, chatterbaits and watermelon red soft plastics, with limited early morning topwater action. Crappie are good on minnows and jigs. White bass are good on live bait. Channel catfish are good on cut bait.
Lake Proctor
Water stained; 68 – 71 degrees; 5.73′ low. Black bass are fair on watermelon soft plastics and spinnerbaits. Striped bass are slow. White bass are slow. Crappie are slow. Channel and blue catfish are fair on shad and shrimp. Yellow catfish are slow.
