Below are the fishing reports for area lakes as reported by the Texas Parks and Wildlife Department this week.
Lake Brownwood
Water clear; 65 degrees; 9.36′ low. Black bass are fair on Bass Hogg spinnerbaits, craw colored jigs, and craw colored crankbaits. Hybrid striper are slow. White bass are good on Li’l Fishies, minnows, and shad colored crankbaits off lighted docks at night. Crappie are good on Li’l Fishies and tube jigs over brush piles under lights at night. Channel catfish are good on shrimp and stinkbait over baited holes. Yellow catfish are slow.
Lake Coleman
Water fairly clear; 66 degrees; 10.52′ low. Black bass are fair on chartreuse spinnerbaits and Rat–L–Traps. Hybrid striper are fair on live minnows and chartreuse Rat–L–Traps. Crappie are good on live minnows. Channel catfish are fair on stinkbait and shrimp. Yellow catfish are slow.
O.H. Ivie Reservoir
Water lightly stained; 49–57 degrees; 27.16′ low. Black bass are fair on Rat–L–Traps burned over flats, Texas rigs and spinnerbaits. Crappie are fair on live minnows. White bass are fair on Road Runners. Channel catfish are fair to good on nightcrawlers.
Lake Proctor
Water murky; 64 degrees; 5.70′ low. Black bass are good on soft plastic worms and Rat–L–Traps. Striped bass are good on minnows and silver spoons. White bass are good on slabs and jigging spoons. Crappie are good on minnows and blue tube jigs. Channel and blue catfish are good on stinkbait and shrimp. Yellow catfish are slow.
