The Brown County Water Improvement District (BCWID) and Brownwood City Council have called a special meeting to discuss water issues in Brown County. The meeting will take place Tuesday, April 29 at 5:00 PM at the Senior Citizens Center, located at 110 South Greenleaf in Brownwood.
The public is encouraged to attend the meeting and to make comments during the meeting.
Brown County has been under water restrictions for approximately 2 years and area leaders are working to find alternative water sources for the community. Currently, the county’s main water supply is Lake Brownwood which is far from capacity with a current lake level of more than 11 feet below spillway.
