Wanda Nay Hardy, 84, of May, Texas passed away January 18, 2016 at her home of a sudden illness. Private memorial services for Mrs. Hardy will be held at a later date.

Wanda Ruth Nay was born April 2, 1931 to Harley Edwin Nay and Annie Ruth Earp Nay in Rising Star, Texas. She married Walter Jake Hardy and they made their home in Monahans, Texas. In 1985, she and her husband made their home in May, Texas. They were married for over 50 years. Mrs. Hardy was a Nurse’s Aide for several years. She is survived by her two sons, James Hardy of Odessa, Texas and Billy Hardy of Monahans, Texas; and two granddaughters, Desaree Hardy and April Dawn Hardy. She is also survived by three nephews, Mike, Stevie, and Jim Bob.

Mrs. Hardy was a member of the Rising Star Church of Christ. She had a love for hunting, fishing, gardening and caring for children. She worked at a children’s home in the Monahans area and loved helping people.

Mrs. Hardy is preceded in death by her parents, her husband Walter Jake Hardy; a brother, James Edwin Nay, Sr., sons, David Hardy, and Tim Hardy .
