Funeral services for Wanda Grizzle (Swindler), age 92, of Early, will be held at 11:00 AM, Tuesday, October 13, 2015 in the Early First Baptist Church. Burial will follow at 2:00 PM, in the Goldthwaite Memorial Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Monday evening from 6:00 until 8:00.

Wanda Lee Stewart was born on April 22, 1923 in Caradan to Johnnie and Myrtle (Obenhaus) Stewart. She attended Midway schools and graduated from Goldthwaite High School. She later attended beauty school. Wanda married Walter Grizzle on July 7, 1943 in Lubbock. He preceded her in death on December 7, 1987. After several years of being a widow, she married Billy J. Swindler on April 3, 2001. He preceded her in death on March 13, 2014. Wanda was a longtime member of the Early First Baptist Church.
Wanda is survived by a son, Paul Grizzle and wife Janyce of Galveston, three granddaughters, Sarah Avila-Grizzle and husband Steve of Lafayette, Louisiana, Colleen Tennyson and husband Jeremy of Hitchcock, and Katt Smith and husband Curtis of Galveston; two great-grandchildren; three sisters, Maxine Shipp of Hico, Zelda Waldon of Early, Dalma Brown of Dallas; a brother, Alvis Stewart of San Antonio, and numerous nieces and nephews.She was preceded in death by her parents, two husbands, and a brother, Johnnie Stewart.
The family requests memorials be made to the Early First Baptist Church.
