Walter Sutton Gable, 90, of Early passed away August 16, 2014, at Songbird Lodge. Graveside service will be held at 10:00 AM Tuesday, August 19, 2014, at Jordan Springs Cemetery in Brownwood with Bill Slaymaker officiating.
Sutton was born January 6, 1924,to Walter and Cleo (Sutton) Gable. He served in the U.S. Navy from 1940 -1945. He married the love of his life, Corine Parker, on June 23, 1945. They traveled the world with his work in off-shore drilling.
He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother, one grandson and his wife, Corine. He is survived by one sister, Ann De Vere of Comfort, Texas; his son, Philip Gable of Early, Texas; his daughter, Gail Love of Early, Texas; five grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren.
