KenemoreMikeWalter Michael “Mike” Kenemore, 63, of Brownwood, passed away Friday, April 1, 2016, at his home.  A celebration of life service will be held at 2:00pm, Friday, April 8, 2016, in the Davis-Morris Funeral Home Chapel, with James Pafford officiating the services.

Mike was born March 17, 1953 in Clovis, NM, to Arvel Gene and Margaret Nell (Pratt) Kenemore.  After graduating high school, Mike proudly served his country in the United States Air Force, as a jet engine mechanic.  He was also a recognized member of the Potawatamie tribe.  Mike loved his family and they were the most important aspect of his life.  He may have only fathered two children, but Mike was a father to many.  Mike met and married his wife, Carol Nabours, and they were together until Carol’s passing.  He eventually met his partner, Leveta Burch, and they have shared the last 18 wonderful years together.  He was a hardworking man and did whatever was necessary to take care of those he loved.  Mike was a very caring and generous person, often doing for others before he would do something for himself.  Mike was a mechanic by profession, but his skills went far beyond that.  He was a skilled welder and somewhat of a jack of all trades.  Mike was known for his strong personality and sense of humor; he loved having fun and was a big joker.  He also loved riding his motorcycle, especially when he got to ride with his friends and family.  Mike was a loving father, brother, grandfather, and friend.  He will be deeply missed by all that knew him and loved him.

Mike was preceded in death by his parents, A.G. and Margaret Kenemore and his wife, Carol.

Mike is survived by his partner, Leveta Burch; Children, Michael Kenemore and wife, Deborah, Melissa Aguirre and husband, Chris, Jerry Burch and wife, Kimberly, and Joshua Burch; grandchildren, Kourtney Gainey, Charles Cummings, Cynthia Gooch, Nicholas Kenemore, Christian Aguirre, Cadynce Aguirre, Presley Aguirre, and April Burch; great-grandchildren, Grayson Cummings and the soon to be Adalyn Cummings; father-in-law, Jerry Conley; nieces, Jennifer Bartlett and Darrah Smith, and their children; and numerous friends and extended family.
