Funeral services for Wade Boykin, age 64, of Arlington, will be at 2:00 PM, Tuesday, December 10, 2013 in the Heartland Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in the Bangs Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Monday evening from 6:00 until 8:00.
Mr. Boykin died December 3, 2013 at his home.
Wade was born in San Angelo on Dec 28, 1948 to Curtis and Vera Groves Boykin. He served is country in the US Air Force for 13 years and attained the rank of Captain. He worked for Gulfstream as an aircraft mechanic for over 15 years. He was a Methodist.
Wade is survived by a niece, Shawna Lynn Boykin-Wishert, a nephew, Kevin Wayne Boykin, a great-nephew, Corey Ray Wishert and wife Stephanie; a great-niece, Courtney Ann Wishert, and a great-great-niece, Lexa Ann Shirley Wishert.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Vera Boykin and a brother, Harvey Wayne Boykin.
Heartland Funeral Home of Early is in charge of arrangements.
