Written by Amanda Coers – Denise Hudson with the Early Convention & Visitor’s Bureau announced Texas Country singer Wade Bowen will be the headliner for the 2017 Early Pioneer Days festival during a special VIP lunch held at noon at the Early Business Complex on Friday, April 7th. Performing during the concert will also be local favorites Boone Cook and The Remains and 10 Mile Crossing.

“We are excited about the entertainment we have selected, and we hope y’all are as well,” Hudson said to attendees before the reveal.

Wade Bowen has amassed a string of regional hits and awards across five independent albums and over a decade of touring according to a musician’s bio handed out at the reveal. Bowen’s musical career launched 14 years ago at Stubb’s Barbecue in Lubbock, and the Texas Country singer has become synonymous with the Red Dirt style.

The 2017 Early Pioneer Days will be held at the Early City Park on the third weekend in September. Tickets for the concert will go on sale August 1st. This year’s festival will feature a softball and baseball tournament, as well as a carnival, 5K race, fireworks show, BBQ cook off, kids’ area, vendors, and a food court.
