The Brown County Elections Administrator is seeking volunteer deputy registrars. Volunteer deputy registrars are entrusted with the responsibility of officially registering voters in the State of Texas. They are appointed by county voter registrars and charged with helping increase voter registration in the state. Duties include distributing voter registration applications and confirming that applications are completed correctly.
Volunteers for Brown County must be at least 18 years old, U.S. citizens and Brown County residents. They also must attend a one-hour training session.
A training session will be held at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday, September 29th at the Adams Street Community Center, 511 East Adams, Brownwood, TX 76801.
