The Howard Payne University volleyball fell to McMurry University in straight games 0-3 (18-25, 14-25, 24-26) Thursday evening in American Southwest Conference action.
Attack errors plagued the HPU Lady Jackets committing 29 and hitting .018 as a team. McMurry had a poor night hitting as well managing only a .144 attack percentage.
HPU’s Hannah Hicks, Sarah Bishop and Carlee Ammons had six kills apiece. Amber Cantu-Curry had 23 assists and Kristin Hammond added 14 digs.
MJ Vickers and Bailey Marcum ended with seven kills each. Sarah Anding added 19 digs. The Lady Jackets dropped to 7-10 overall and 3-7 in league play. McMurry stands at 10-7 overall 7-3 in ASC action.
Howard Payne will play next Tuesday at home versus Texas Lutheran University at 6:00 pm.
