Funeral Services for Virginia K. Moore, age 96, of Early, Texas will be held 10:00 AM Friday, November 8, 2013 at the Heartland Funeral Home in Early with Bro. Eddie Ailshie officiating. Interment will follow in Eastlawn Memorial Park. The family will receive friends 6:00 – 8:00 PM Thursday at the funeral home. Mrs. Moore passed away Tuesday, Nov. 5, 2013 in local nursing home.
Virginia was born on February 2, 1917 in Bremond, Texas to W.L. and Annie Tucker Kay. On August 3, 1935 she married L.N. Moore in Brownwood. She was a resident of this area since 1935 and was a member of the First Baptist Church in Early.
Survivors include her son Billy Moore of Early; four grandchildren William Dale Moore of San Antonio, Stephen Wayne Moore of Austin, Lisa Lynn Moore of Austin and Virginia Gail Moore of Houston; one great grandchild and two great great grandchildren.She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, sisters Lucille McHan, Mary Lois Hughes, Willie Dean Ezell; brothers J.L. and Tucker Kay.
